MEMBER WARNING-There is an online bill pay website that appears to be affiliated with Southern Iowa Electric Cooperative, but it is NOT! If you use an online search engine to find SIEC's online billing services, Doxo may come up in the results. Doxo has no affiliation with SIEC whatsoever! Doxo's payment pages are using SIEC's logos and name WITHOUT PERMISSION, giving it the appearance of an official payment site. Doxo.com is a third-party website that allows people to pay their electric bills via their site. However, Doxo.com may charge the member extra fees, and SIEC cannot control when we will receive the member payments from Doxo.com, possibly resulting in a late payment from the member or even disconnection due to non-payment. To make sure you’re paying SIEC directly, visit our website at www.sie.coop and click on the green "Access Your Account" tab at the top of the page. This will get you to SIEC's official online payment site. There are never fees charged on our site, and your payments are secure and reflected on your account immediately.
Notice about Online Banking Payments-If you are paying your electric bill through your bank's Online Banking Services, please be aware the bank is actually printing us a check and mailing it to SIEC. There has been some confusion on behalf of some of our members who use their bank's online payment service. Many banks will take the funds out of your checking account on the day you request your payment be made online, BUT we do not receive the funds electronically! Instead, your bank prints and mails an actual check to us. Therefore, we do not receive payment until the check is delivered via mail to us! This has caused several members to incur late payment fees due to the fact they see their payment taken out of their checking account and assume we received it electronically the same day. Please be aware you need to allow plenty of time for the mail service to deliver your check even when paying through online banking services. Don’t forget, SIEC still offers the option of Automatic Debit from your checking account at no charge. You have the option of selecting the 15th or 20th for your payment date and the peace of mind knowing your bill is paid on time every month.
